MindSync Neurotraining
Neurofeedback & Biofeedback Waiver

1. Nature of Services

Neurofeedback and biofeedback brain training services offered through MindSync Neurotraining are not a form of psychotherapy, counseling, or medical treatment, and do not replace any medical or psychological care a client may already be receiving.

 2. Neurofeedback Is Brain Training, Not Treatment

Neurofeedback and biofeedback are self-regulation training techniques aimed at helping the brain function more efficiently. These techniques are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological conditions. Results may vary, and improvements are not guaranteed.

3. QEEG Brain Mapping Disclaimer

Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) assessments are used to gather information about the brain’s activity patterns. QEEG is an assessment tool and not a diagnostic test. Results are used to inform training protocols and are not intended to diagnose psychiatric or neurological disorders.

 4. Client-Practitioner Relationship

Submitting a contact form, scheduling a consultation, or completing an initial QEEG does not establish a therapeutic, medical, or clinical relationship with Adrienne Schmidt, LCSW, or MindSync Neurotraining. A formal relationship begins only after mutual agreement and completion of intake paperwork.

5. Voluntary Participation & Responsibility

Participation in neurofeedback or biofeedback training is voluntary. Clients are responsible for sharing any concerns or health changes and for maintaining their current medical or mental health care.

6. Risks & Limitations

Neurofeedback and biofeedback are non-invasive and generally well tolerated. Temporary effects may include fatigue, mood fluctuations, or sleep pattern changes, which typically resolve as the brain adjusts.

7. Confidentiality

All communications and records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA and are kept confidential unless otherwise required by law.

8. Acknowledgment

By engaging in services through MindSync Neurotraining, you acknowledge and understand the purpose, limitations, and voluntary nature of these brain training services.
